Located in the popular market town of Launceston in Cornwall our client is currently seeking a Chef to assist their Head Chef. Our client serves traditional pub food with an emphasis on homemade dishes and using local and seasonal produce.
The ideal candidate will be hard working, able to cope with pressure, have a professional approach and be keen to learn. Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment required with a basic food hygiene certificate. An NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Professional Cookery would be beneficial.
General duties will include but not be limited to:
Supporting chefs in service
Assisting with basic food preparation as per the Chefs instructions
Keeping kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic at all times
This is a full time permanent position which will involve working 5 days per week including weekend work. Working times will involve both straight and spilt shifts with the majority of straight shifts being in the summer.
Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
